Strengthening HIV Awareness and Testing Efforts in Lebanon: SIDC’s Commitment to Community Health in 2024

Lebanon witnessed a concerning increase with 261 new HIV+ cases in 2023, as reported by the National AIDS Program. In response, SIDC has taken proactive steps by testing 69 individuals, showcasing our dedication to awareness, testing, and support.

We believe in the power of community action and awareness to reduce the spread of HIV and other STIs. Through our comprehensive programs and services, we empower individuals with knowledge about safe practices and early testing. Our efforts extend beyond awareness to concrete action, including peer-to-peer education.

By engaging with the community and collaborating with health authorities, SIDC fosters a supportive environment where individuals take charge of their sexual health.

In 2024, we continue to provide accessible testing services, focusing on marginalized populations. Targeted education campaigns via social media, workshops, and community events raise awareness about transmission, prevention, and testing importance.

Advocating for policies prioritizing prevention, testing, and treatment, we aim to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/STIs.

In solidarity with the community, SIDC promotes safe practices and early testing, fostering health, well-being, and empowerment for all individuals in Lebanon.
