Shadow report of LGBTI Human Rights Violations at the Workplace – 2022

The following document presents the project that SIDC has implemented with the support of the European Union and in partnership with ACTED: Enhancing the Inclusivity of the LGBTI Community in Workplaces in Lebanon.

The aim of this project was to promote and protect the rights of the LGBT+ community in Lebanon by increasing their employability and ensuring their access to work without discrimination.

Within the framework of the European Union supported project implemented in partnership with ACTED and titled “Enhancing the Inclusivity of the LGBTI Community in Workplaces in Lebanon”, SIDC organized a series of meetings and consultations with various formal and informal stakeholders, and with civil society organizations working with LGBT+ individuals and on various human rights issues; with the aim to examine violations against the LGBT+ community in the workplace, analyze the most prominent factors that limit equal access to rights, and come up with practical recommendations that can be used in advocacy with decision makers.
