Increasing access of MSM to integrated, quality HIV services along the care cascade in MENA
Ms. Nadia Badran Program manager attended a to discuss the new project that going to be established from July 2017 till end of March 2018 in the MENA region. Among the participants from MENA: Damj association and ATL MST SIDA (joined via Skype) from Tunisia, and M-coalition.
This project is to increase access of Gay men, other MSM and Trans individuals (GMT) to integrated, quality HIV services along the care cascade in Maghreb and Mashrek.
This project will build capacities on the regional levels for NGOs and CSOs to better respond to the needs of MSM, it will improve quality of care of medical personnel with regards to sexual health of these groups, will empower the community to take the lead and expand the delivery of outreach services through online service prevention.
Ms. Nadia Badran which represents SIDC in Lebanon discuss with around 50 persons from the Alliance team about SIDC interventions and expertise in the responding to the needs of GMT and DUs. Harm reduction programs, HIV/STI prevention, and adherence to treatment were among the services she presented.
